Tax Receipts

T2202

T2202 tuition tax receipts for courses taken and completed in 2020 will be available on MyHumber by February 26, 2021.

In compliance with Section 118.5 (1) of the Income Tax Act, receipts are only issued when total tuition fees for the tax period exceed $100.

To access your most recent T2202 tax receipts on MyHumber, please do the following:

  • Log in to MyHumber.
  • Click on Personal Information and Update SIN.
  • Enter your SIN (if you have not already done so) and click Update.
  • Click on the Student Menu option.
  • Click on T2202 Tax Forms.
  • Click on T2202 Tax Forms 2015 – Present.
  • Ensure the T2202 receipt/form content is correct, and then print a copy for yourself.
  • Save the PDF to your computer for future reference.

To access tax receipts from years 2014 and prior on MyHumber, please do the following:

  • Log in to MyHumber.
  • Click on the Student Menu option.
  • Click on T2202 Tax Forms.
  • Click on T2202 Tax Forms 2014 and Prior.
  • Read the disclaimer regarding your T2202 form.
  • Click "Next" once you acknowledge that you understand the disclaimer.
  • Click on the Academic year you wish to print a T2202 form for; the PDF file of the requested T2202 form will appear.
  • Ensure the T2202 receipt/form content is correct, and then print a copy for yourself.
  • Save the PDF to your computer for future reference.

Additional T2202 information:

  • Tax months are calculated based on the duration of education for the current year.
  • T2202s only include mandatory tuition fees (residence and/or Ignite-related fees are not included).
  • The paid tuition amount must be greater than $100 to qualify for a T2202.
  • Children under 16 cannot receive a T2202. If parents/guardians want a receipt for payment of fees, a receipt or an admit to class form can be generated.
  • Day Release Apprentices are eligible to receive a T2202 and will qualify for the Full Time amount.
  • If you notice a discrepancy on your T2202 form, check your course load to see if you are claiming the correct number of months you were enrolled in courses during the past year.

*Please note that the Summer term for 2018 has been split into two session periods to comply with recent CRA requirements.

T4A

To access your T4A tax receipt on MyHumber, please do the following:

  • Log in to MyHumber
  • Click on Personal Information and Canadian Tax Forms
  • Use the drop-down menu to Select Year for the tax slip you want to view
  • Click on T4A – Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income hyperlink to display the tax slip
  • If multiple slips have been issued for the same reporting year, use the drop-down menu to select the slip to view
  • Click View T4A to see the listed slip
  • Ensure the T4A receipt/form content is correct, and then print a copy for yourself
  • Save the PDF to your computer for future reference

Additional T4A information:

  • A T4A Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income is provided by the College to students who have received awards, including scholarships and bursaries, in the previous tax year.
  • These slips were previously mailed in past years. For tax year 2020, the T4A slip will be available online.
  • T4A slips are only created for scholarship/awards/bursaries over $500
