Student Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training

Student Worker Session (Online)

Student workers, including work-study students, can access the Employee Health and Safety Awareness Training course. This course is accessed through the HRMS (Human Resources Management System). You will need to sign in using your Humber Single Sign-On (SSO). Contact healthandsafety@humber.ca if you have questions.

Placement students completing internships at Humber should email healthandsafety@humber.ca and provide the following information for course access:

  • First & Last name
  • Employee number (n-number)
  • Department/Faculty
  • Manager/Assoc. Dean name
  • Start date of employment/contract

Further Health and Safety Training for Student Workers:

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS):

All employees who work with chemicals or other hazardous materials as part of their job are required to complete WHMIS 2015 training. For WHMIS 2015 training, please email healthandsafety@humber.ca to register for an upcoming in-class or online training session.

Sexual Assault and Sexual Violence Awareness Training:

All employees are required to complete Sexual Assault and Sexual Violence Awareness Training. For more information on how to complete this online training module, please visit our sexual violence training page.

Job Specific Training:

All employees, including student workers, are responsible to contact their supervisor if additional training is required for potential or existing hazards that they may come across as part of their role.
