Humber’s Holiday Gift Drive for Teens

Donations will be accepted from Nov 12 to Dec 11, 2024. In support of the Children’s Aid of Canada and Toronto Police Service, we are asking the Humber community for holiday gift donations that are suitable for teens aged 13 to 19 at North and Lakeshore Campuses.

Drop off a new, unwrapped gift for teens by December 11 and bring holiday joy to teens involved with child welfare.

Gift Ideas with a suggested $20 to 50 value

Gift Cards:

Shoppers, Tim Hortons, Visa, Loblaws, Walmart, Sephora, Best Buy, Sport Chek, Cineplex, Indigo, hair salons (e.g. First Choice or Topcuts), fast food chain restaurants

*Hint: buy gift cards for single individuals, with gift receipt attached

*Hint: buy chain store cards that can be found in downtown Toronto and the nearest neighbourhoods just outside of it

Sports Equipment:

outdoor basketballs, soccer balls, water bottles, bicycle accessories like flashing clipon lights, bike bellls, hand pumps with ball and tire needles, zipped hoodies (discreet logo/brand), baseball cap

Headphones and other small electronics:

headphones (e.g. wired Apple EarPods - usb-c or lightening connection), portable power banks, plug to usb/usb c adaptors, charging cables, watches, small portable bluetooth speakers

Hair Supplies

styling brushes, portable/packable hair dryers, straighteners, curling irons, hair products

Arts and Crafts:

kits to build or paint something, gel pens, notebooks/journals, sketchbooks, card decks like Exploding Kittens or Cards Against Humanity, Uno, puzzles or puzzle books, board games, fidget toys

Personal Supplies

lip balm, hand lotion (hypoallergenic or scented), nail polish, makeup kits, handwarmer packs, shaving kits, razors, post-shave balm (unscented or scented), cosy fleece throw blanket

Backpacks and Bags

totes, waist/hip packs, string packs (e.g. Adidas Alliance II Sackpack)

Items not to donate

food items, unpackaged/loose stuffed or plush animals, large, bulky items that are not portable or movable
