A critical component of a comprehensive security plan that uses state-of-the-art technology, is closed circuit television (CCTV).

The purpose of CCTV's passive monitoring of public areas by security personnel is to deter crime and to assist the Department of Public Safety in protecting the safety of individuals and property at Humber.

Information obtained through video monitoring will:

• be used exclusively for security and law enforcement purposes
• only be released when authorized by the Vice President of Administration or Director of Public Safety
