Public Safety Alert January 10, 2025

January 10, 2025

The Department of Public Safety would like to make the Humber community aware that we have reports from students advising that they were approached by unknown males and pressured and harassed into purchasing items, projectors, and televisions, on or near Humber property.  They were approached during the day at North and Lakeshore Campus and told that this was a deal that they can’t pass up and the males continued to pressure/harass them until they made the purchase and handed over cash from a bank machine/ATM.

Do not engage with anyone approaching you.

Do not enter vehicles with unknown persons.

Don’t be afraid to offend a stranger by walking away.

Add the Guardian App to your phone and use the Call Humber Security button for assistance when on campus.

Anyone with information related to this, should contact Public Safety at 416-675-8500 or call Toronto Police Service at 416-808-2222 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.222tips.com
