Are holiday hours entered automatically?
Employees do not need to enter Statutory Holiday hours. Statutory Holiday hours for the holidays listed below shall be calculated in the manner prescribed by the Employment Standards Act, 2000. Payroll will do this.
If an employee works on a stat holiday and enters time cards – then they will have to select the payroll time type as stat holiday worked.
Below are the stat holidays:
• New Year’s Day
• Family Day
• Good Friday
• Victoria Day
• Canada Day
• Labour Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• Boxing Day
The Civic Holiday is also observed as a Stat Holiday at Humber.
