What is academic professional development leave?

Details about professional development leave can be found under Article 20 of the Academic Collective Agreement.

The purpose of the leave is for College-approved academic, technical, industrial or other pursuits where such activities will enhance the ability of the teacher, counsellor or librarian upon return to the College. This leave can be from 1 – 12 months.
