I have been offered a job but I cannot access my job offer/contract. What should I do?

External Candidate

Definition: A brand new employee or someone who has not had an active contract within the last 6 months.

Reason: You did not set up your username and password for the career portal, as it was created by the hiring manager or hiring manager delegate, or you do not remember your username or password for the career portal.

Resolution:

  1. Your username will be in the job offer email you should have received. When you click the link in the email, you can click ‘Forgot Password’ and follow the prompt to reset your password. Then click the link in the job offer email again to log in to review and respond to your offer.
  2. Ask your new manager or the Talent Acquisition Advisor you have been communicating with to provide you with your username and password.

For step-by-step instructions to accept your offer, follow the Receive and Respond to an Offer (External Candidate) knowledge article.

For further assistance, please contact the HR Support Centre.

Internal Candidate (Humber)

Definition: Any employee with a current active contract or an active contract within the last 6 months.

Reason: You may not be using the correct email account to access the job offer.

Resolution:

  1. You must access your job offer through your personal or @humber.ca email account.
  2. If you cannot access this account, dial 8888 or 416-675-6622 to contact Humber IT Support and ask them to provide you with access to the email account.

Note: The email address for an internal candidate cannot be changed on HRMS.

For step-by-step instructions to accept your offer, review the Receive and Respond to an Offer (Internal Candidate) knowledge article.

For further assistance, please contact the HR Support Centre.

Internal Candidate (the University of Guelph-Humber)

Definition: Any employee with a current active contract or an active contract within the last 6 months.

Reason: You may not be using the correct email account to access the job offer.

Resolution:

  1. Ask your manager or the Talent Acquisition Advisor you have been communicating with to check to see which email account your job offer was sent to. It may be your personal email, the @humber.ca email account or the @guelphhumber.ca email account.
  2. If you cannot access this account, dial 8888 or 416-675-6622 to contact Humber IT Support and ask them to provide you with access to the email account.

Note: Many UofGH employees are not aware they have @humber.ca email addresses, however, if this is the email address on your HRMS profile, you will need to gain access to it in order to access your job offer. Unfortunately, the email address for an internal candidate cannot be changed on the HRMS.

For step-by-step instructions to accept your offer, review the Receive and Respond to an Offer (Internal Candidate) knowledge article.
