After I’ve selected my successful candidate, who will contact the unsuccessful candidates to inform them that we will not be moving forward with their candidacy?
The hiring manager is responsible for informing interviewed candidates that we are not moving forward with their candidacy. The candidates may request specific feedback regarding their interview, so it is recommended that the hiring manager consults with the HR Business Partner for guidance about what to communicate to candidates.
For internal candidates, a phone call is recommended.
For external candidates, you can send a standard email through HRMS by following the job aid for Contacting Unsuccessful Candidates.
